COVID-19 Update from the Pastor

March 19, 2020

Dear Friends,

After much prayerful deliberation, information from our public health officials and our Bishop we have made the difficult decision to not gather in person for worship on Sundays, March 22 and March 29. We are providing worship opportunities through our Facebook page, our YouTube channel, and our website. We encourage you to worship at home with family or with a small group of friends. Please share this resource with others. Our Sanctuary will still be open on Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for prayer.

As of this coming Monday, March 23, our church office will be open Monday – Thursday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. If you need pastoral assistance outside of these times please call the church number (850) 862-4169. Trinity UMC continues to minister to our community! We continue to distribute sack lunches Monday through Friday from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.  In the days ahead, you will hear of other ministries for which you can volunteer; we will let you know about these ministries through Mission Moments posted online.

Continue to support the church through your tithes and offerings as you are able. If you prefer to make your gifts by check please mail them to 403 Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547. You may also give online on our website, or come to the church office during our designated hours.

God remains faithful. As our youth director Matt Hull said on Sunday, “God has provided in the past; God is providing in the present; and God will provide in the future. Let's keep trusting in God.” Trinity UMC remains a place of unconditional love, offering Christ's healing, help, and hope to the world. The world may change, but God won't change. God remains faithful, and God's steadfast love is forever. I am grateful to be in ministry with you and to serve our faithful God.

In Christ,

Scott
