The Christmas Playlist

One of the things we love most about Christmas is the music. Whether we’re standing in line at Target or listening to the radio on our way home from work, the music reminds us that there is something unique about this time of year.

When the Bible tells the Christmas story, it tells it through song. From Jesus conception in the womb to his dedication at the temple, every scene is filled with music and wonder. They tell stories of the hope, peace, and joy that comes with the birth of our savior.

In this series, the Christmas Playlist, we will take a closer look at some of our favorite Christmas songs. What do they have to teach us about the anticipation of the birth of Christ, the very first Christmas, and its place in the bigger story of the Bible?

Christmas Eve & Day Services

Celebrate the birth of Christ at one of our candlelight Christmas Eve services!

This simple, beautiful service focuses our attention on the real meaning of Christmas. We read from the scriptures, sing our favorite carols, and reflect on Jesus' entry into the world. At the end of the service, the entire room is filled with candlelight as we worship our savior.

Our Contemporary service will begin at 2:00 p.m. and our Traditional service will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Don't forget to invite your friends and family to join us for either of these wonderful services! The nursery will be available at both services for children ages 0-4 years old.

STOCK THE SLEIGH

Each Christmas season, we are reminded there is no greater joy than giving to others. This Advent season, we invite you to join us in spreading joy and kindness through our annual Stock the Sleigh initiative! This year, we’re partnering with several local school to make some of their students holiday a little brighter.

How It Works:

  1. Pick a Tag: Visit our Stock the Sleigh located at in the Narthex and Memorial Fellowship Hall. Choose a tag that represents a child in need.
  2. Shop for Gifts: Purchase gifts listed on the tag. Please remember to keep your purchases within the suggested price range.
  3. Drop Off: Return your gifts in a gift bag with the tag attached to sleigh in the Narthex or Memorial Fellowship Hall sleigh by Sunday, December 15 so we can ensure they reach their new students in time for the holidays. All BLUE tags must be returned by Sunday, December 8.

Your generosity can make a significant impact. Let’s come together to fill our sleigh with love and support for those who need it most.

contemporary worship

Entering the Memorial Fellowship Hall, you are greeted by our worship band's sound with guitars, a keyboard, and a drum set to perform a sound check. When the electronic countdown board reaches zero, the worship band launches into a selected heartfelt song praising God. Each piece is meant to help you focus on your personal devotional experience and praise before the message.

Contemporary worship provides a mix of contemporary and traditional elements. If you love church traditions and a bit more pep in your music, contemporary is the perfect place for you.

traditional worship

Traditional worship at Trinity keeps us in touch with the deepest roots of the Christian faith. We appreciate the traditional elements of worship and have pews, pulpits, choir lofts, robes for pastors and choirs, daylight streaming through the stained glass, the deep resonant sound of a pipe organ, and the classical piano. Voices led by the Chancel Choir lift high the praises of God. It has everything you'd expect in traditional worship.

Every service is a structured combination of the use of traditional prayers and liturgy. It allows you to put yourself in a place where we can hear God's voice through song, traditional prayer, scripture reading, and sermon.
